Exoecology for Monster Hunters
Graphic and Layout Design, Marketing and Branding Art, Illustration
I worked with MargoMods on their latest D&D Kickstarter Exoecology for Monster Hunters, and helped them develop a brand identity aligned with the book’s ecological horror theme.
I crafted a full graphic pack for the KS campaign and post-launch ads, along with mockups and print-ready packaging for rewards like custom dice and cards. Illustrations were provided for these materials.
I'm currently contributing additional artwork and illustrations, and assisting with print production, communications, and file preparation.

For the wordmark, we explored a few versions based on the main themes of the book: monster hunting and ecological horrors. The selected version has details to support the themes, like slashes from monsters and woven tree branches with small leaves.

Next up was deciding what the Kickstarter layout would look like. I wanted to present the project in a clear manner while still incorporating the themes of the book though various graphic elements like the header art and borders.

This is the principal banner going over the campaign's main selling points and rewards.

This campaign has an unique selection of rich adventures, and I chose to highlight these with as much of the lovely artwork I was provided with.

The subclasses in this book are another unique feature which we wanted to highlight on the project page.

It's customary to offer a sample of the book's contents to potential backers, so I crafted this eye-catching GIF, which also acts as a button linking to the PDF on Kickstarter.

Lastly, after wrapping up the Kickstarter page, I crafted a set of ads with the rewards and monsters which people were expressing an interest in. These were crucial in sucessfully funding the campaign in the first day of its launch, and reaching over $51,000!

I also contributed to illustrating the magic items in the book. These are based on various monsters and can be crafted from their components, so it was important to keep this in mind when coming up with these designs.

Some items have different rarities, so I got to think about how to upgrade a basic version. In this case, I progressively added more coverage and protection to the helmet, and represented the higher magical powers thorugh the flame FX.
